Auto Coverage
Bodily injury – covers you in an accident where you are at fault and someone else is injured in the accident. People can sue for lost wages and all sorts of things related to an injury. If you or someone insured under your policy is liable for damages claimed by one or more people you have injured with your automobile; your insurance company will pay for legal fees and damages up to the policy limits you choose. If those people’s injuries are more than your policy limit, they can go after any equity in your home, sue you for future wages, savings accounts, etc. Choosing the right amount of coverage and knowing how your other insurance policies interact with your auto policy is critical when deciding how much coverage you need.
